Tatra SOT Military Truck Paper Model In 1/43 Scale - by Rawen

Occupying three sheets, this very well done paper model in 1/43 scale of the Tatra SOT - Long-Range Patrol Vehicle - was created by Czech designer and modeler Rawen and was originally posted at PR Models website. 

The Tatra T815 ER45 16230 4x4.1/55T (SOT) truck was jointly developed by Terrex-Tatra and LOM Praha to meet urgent requirements of the Czech special forces in Afghanistan.

This vehicle is referred as T815 SOT or Tatra SOT for short. A kit was developed to convert a Tatra T815 series 4x4 truck into a special forces patrol vehicle. A prototype was completed in 2007.

Ocupando três folhas, este modelo de papel muito bem feito na escala 1/43 do Tatra SOT - Veículo de Patrulha de Longo Alcance - foi criado pelo designer e modelista tcheco Rawen e foi postado originalmente no site da PR Models.

O caminhão Tatra T815 ER45 16230 4x4.1 / 55T (SOT) foi desenvolvido em conjunto pela Terrex-Tatra e LOM Praha para atender às necessidades urgentes das forças especiais tchecas no Afeganistão. Este veículo é conhecido como T815 SOT ou Tatra SOT.

Um kit foi desenvolvido para converter um caminhão 4x4 da série Tatra T815 em um veículo de patrulha das forças especiais. Um protótipo foi concluído em 2007.

This beautiful playset paper model was created by British designer Philip Lawrence, from Action Figure Theatre website. This playset was made for action figures in 3/75" scale.

By Russian website World of Tanks, here is the Russian Tank T-54 in an easy-to-build paper version.
The T-54 and T-55 tanks are a series of main battle tanks (according to some sources) although not recognised as an MBT by Soviet and Russian sources, instead classifying them as medium tanks (the very concept of "main battle tanks" was applied only to tanks beginning with T-64A, armed with 125-mm tank gun) that were designed in the Soviet Union.
The first T-54 prototype appeared in March 1945, just as the Second World War ended. The T-54 entered full production in 1947 and became the main tank for armoured units of the Soviet Army, armies of the Warsaw Pact countries, and others.
T-54s and T-55s were involved in many of the world's armed conflicts during the late 20th and early 21st centuries. - Wikipedia

The Weekend Pic - Black Pearl Pirate Ship Paper Model - by Olvar

This weekend we have a "great little model" of the Black Pearl, the famous pirate ship from Pirates of Caribbean movies. I said "great" because it is a really beautiful and well done paper model, and said "little" because it is really little, but just in size. This model was created by German designer and modeler Oliver Bizer, aka Olvar and was posted at Papiermodell Austria, a very good forum about paper models. Olvar did an excellent construction report too, full of photos, and you will find the both links, to download the model and to the construction report right below, as well.


Este final de semana nós temos um "grande pequeno modelo" do Pérola Negra, o famoso navio da série de filmes Piratas do Caribe. Eu disse "grande" por que este é um modelo muito bonito e bem feito, e também disse "pequeno" porque ele é realmente pequeno, mas só no tamanho. Ele foi criado pelo designer e modelista alemão Oliver Bizer, aka Olvar, e foi postado no Papiermodell Austria, um ótimo forum gratuíto que trata exclusivamente de modelos de papel.
